New York city has gotten itself a little piece in Bogota on the last floor in a building, and it definitely came to stay.

The capital of the world has some representation in the capital city of Colombia now, and luckily for all you selfproclaimed foodies out there, it's in the shape of a divine restaurant.

I fell in love with New York city without even having ever been there. Come on, don't judge! New York is not known as the capital of the world for nothing. It has so much to offer, it doesn't even matter what you're into, it's there; whether it's music, fashion, art, photography, or food, You can find it there. Culturally, there's a lot to explore in that city. And let's not forget it being the set for countless movies and tv shows like Breakfast At Tiffany's, Taxy Driver American Psycho, Friends, Sienfield, Sex and The City, Gossip Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Girls, among so many others.

Well, all the glamour and unique style of New York collide in Upper Side 81 Street, a restaurant that, beyond the food, offers an unforgettable experience.

It's in one of the most exclusive areas of Bogotá, known as 'Zona T', and it has arrived to innovate the gastronomic scene with groundbreaking ideas, regarding the menu, the wine, the design, the ambiance and the music, making the entire expirence something to do as often as possible.

Sharing the dream of so many people of living in the wonderful city of New York and the cruel reality of others of not being able to afford it, Eileen Sasson and Javier Coria, the owners, decided to create their own little piece of the city they admire so much.

Like many restaurants in Manhattan, Upper Side doesn't have a sign or a personalized entrance, just an elevator that opens right at the hostest stand, which gives the place the high class feel the owners were aiming for.

One of the most exquisite parts of this restaurant is the broad wine selection, white, red, rosé and champagne coming from all over the world for those who know their wines and know the difference between French and Spanish Wine, I personally don't know jack about wine.

The food is excellent and the prices are fair. Upper side has a panoramic view of Bogotá and it gets none of the noise of the city, which we all know is great when it comes to fine wining and dining.

Sunday mornings are the greatest thing. Their brunch is so glamorous and simultaneouly fun, it would be a sin to miss it. Waflles, eggs, fruit, baegles, muffins, salmon and avocado toasts, coffee, hot cups of coco, juices and coctails await to cheer up your mornings.

So, to all of you that love NYC but live in Bogota, Upper Side 81 Street is the place you've been looking for. It's the explanation for all of those who say they left their hearts in that wonderful city.

What I liked the most is the fact that it's elegance and exclusiveness do not equal snobbery, it's a place where people even go for a drink at night. So, it has a little bit for everyone. No, people are not going to feel like they are in Soho, but they are not going to feel at Mc Donald's either. It covers a broad spectrum, it's a classy place that could fit in a regular Sunday of your life, or a celebratory dinner.
