Oh My, Crocs?

Are the comfortable enough to justify their appearence?

Like many people, I have a complicated relationship with crocs. Why would anyone would choose to wear a semi-shoe made out of a combination of plastic and foam?

Unfortunately, something happened that opened my mind to that bizarre concept.

My brother had to ger surgery on one of his toes, and during the recuperation process he could not wear closed shoes, but also flip flops and man sandals were off the table (we live in a cold city so I was low key thankful for that one).

After some research, he came to the conclussion that he had to buy some crocs and for some reason I still don't know, he chose the camo ones.

I have never seen crocs in person so I didn't really know what to expect. Luckily or unluckily, they looked exactly the same as in the picture. They delivered what they promissed, so that's a point in their favor, I guess.

Long story short, my brother hated them and only wore them for a couple of days until he decided to go back to sneakers, so we kind of forgot about them until I was forced to wear them because my dog ruined my slippers.

Weirdly enough, this happened around the same time crocs made it all the way to the runways, not that that changed my mind about them, but at least I had some comfort.

But are they worth it? Because let's think it through, Crocs are not cheap, they are not pleasing to the eye, and you must be thinking, but are they at least crazy comfortable? To that I say, NO, THEY ARE NOT! Its soles are spiky and maybe it's just me, and even though it doesn't hurt, it is uncomfortable and it takes some getting used to.

So why are these shoes here? Are they here to stay? and How on earth did they get to be a part of a runway show during Fashion Week? I guess that's the beauty of fashion, and that's what makes it evolve; nothing is completly banned, it changes and everyone interprets indivudual pieces in a different way, we all just try to make it work according to our perspective on the world around us.

So I may still dislike them, maybe I always will (almost certainly), but

Hey! You do you!
